The Red Meadow

This painting was inspired by the book "The Sight" by David Clement-Davies- one of my favorite books of all time- particularly the Red Meadow. (The Red Meadow is a place that can only be visited by wolves with the Sight in order to communicate with the Searchers- the spirits of deceased wolves.) When I read I always envision every scene and character and I always saw the Red Meadow as a sparse, dark place with a teal-ish sky and bright red flowers resembling poppies.
